The Challenges of the Portuguese Economy Discussed at ISPGAYA Business Conference
Yesterday, on June 15th, the 2nd edition of the ISPGAYA Business Science Conference took place, with the participation of approximately 80 students from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Management, as well as from the CTeSP (Specialization Course) in SME Management.
António Barreiros, Sales Director at INFORMADB, was the guest speaker of the event, addressing the evolution of the Portuguese business fabric in the past two years. Drawing on his extensive professional experience, the guest contributed to the debate by discussing the major challenges faced by the Portuguese economy in the last biennium, the key areas of action for the Portuguese economy, the geographical distribution, and the importance of various regions in the development of the national economy.
The role of exports as an economic driver and the evolution of "Zombie" companies in Portugal were also among the topics discussed, generating interest among students regarding structural themes and contributing to the dissemination and consolidation of technical and scientific knowledge.
