How can I submit my application to an ISPGAYA course?
Applications can be submitted:
- Online, at https://inforestudante.ispgaya.pt/.
- In person, at the ISPGAYA Secretariat.
After applying and if I am placed, what should I do?
After publication of the results, students placed in each application stage have 15 days to register/enrol.
Where can I register to take the admission exams?
Admission exams are currently carried out through national secondary school final exams. Registration for these exams is done at the high school in which the student is enrolled.
Can I apply for the DGES scholarship?
Yes, you can. To find out if you are entitled to the scholarship, do the simulation here https://www.dges.gov.pt/simulador/?plid=373
How can I obtain access credentials to apply for the scholarship?
At the ISPGAYA Social Action Office.
I forgot my password to access my personal application area. How can I get a new password?
You must request password recovery on the entry page of the scholarship application form, https://www.dges.gov.pt/wwwbeon/, under “Forgot your user code or password?”, by entering your tax identification number (NIF) and email address.
You will immediately receive an email with the data to access your personal area.
Can I benefit from a scholarship at ISPGAYA?
Yes, you can. To do so, visit the area dedicated to scholarships, where you will find all information about the scholarships we have to offer.
What is the entrance average grade (in applications under the General Regime)?
To apply under the general scheme, a minimum score of 95 points in the admission exam or in the set of admission exams accepted for the course to which one is applying is required.
The ranking is done in descending order of the application grade (calculated using the following formula: secondary school grade × 0.65 + required admission exam grade × 0.35).
I have a Technological Specialisation Course (CET), do I need to pass any admission exam?
Yes. You have to take an admission exam to the Institute.
. I have a Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP), do I need to carry out any admission exam?
If the CTeSP you completed falls within the same scientific area as the degree, you do not need to take an admission exam. If the CTeSP does not fall within the same scientific area as the degree, you must take an admission exam to the Institute.
I have a professional course, can I join ISPGAYA without national exams?
Yes. However, you will have to take an admission exam to the Institute in accordance with the regulations in force.
I am studying at another higher education institution, can I apply for ISPGAYA?
Yes, as long as you meet the entry conditions provided for in the Change of Institution/Course Pair scheme.
I have already been enrolled in higher education but have not completed the course, I intend to change institution and/or course, do I need to pass admission exams?
Yes. According to Ordinance no. n.º 181-D/2015, of 19 June, to request a change of institution and/or course, students must meet the conditions below:
- Having been enrolled and registered in another institution/course pair that they did not complete;
- Have passed, with the minimum required grade, the national secondary education exams corresponding to the admission exams set for that institution/course pair, for that year, within the scope of the general access scheme;
- Change of institution and/or course is not possible in the same academic year in which the students entered higher education.
I want to change institution and/or course, but my admission exam is more than three years old, do I have to take it again?
No. For applications under the Institution/Course Change of Pair scheme, the national exams corresponding to the admission exams may have been passed during any academic year
I have never been enrolled in higher education and my admission exams have expired, how can I apply for ISPGAYA?
If you are over 23 years old by 31 December of the year before the exams are held, and have never been enrolled in higher education, you can apply for the Over 23 Access Scheme. If you are not 23 yet, you must take the admission exams at a secondary school.
I intend to re-enter higher education, what should I do?
Re-entry is the act by which a student, after interrupting studies in a higher education institution/course pair, registers in the same institution and enrols in the same course or in a successor course. So, if you were enrolled at ISPGAYA and want to re-enter the same course, get in touch with the secretariat.
I have a graduate degree, do I need to take any admission exam?
Graduates or holders of a legally equivalent qualification do not need to pass exams to access degrees.
Can I apply for a master’s degree?
To apply for the master’s you must have a higher qualification at the level of graduate or a legally equivalent qualification in the area of training of the master’s.
