Last Friday, October 4th, students from the Higher Professional Technician (CTeSP) course in Digital Marketing at ISPGAYA, accompanied by Professor Daniel Sousa, went on a study visit to Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto.
The visit began at 11 am and provided students with an in-depth insight into the historical importance of the building, which was founded in 1842 and was the first space dedicated to the stock exchange in the Iberian Peninsula. To this day, the Palácio da Bolsa remains in operation, being a historic landmark of commerce in the city of Porto.
Students also explored other areas of the palace, including the courthouse, the gallery of former presidents, Gustave Eiffel's office and the famous Golden Room, where the business leadership meets.
At the end of the visit, the group had the opportunity to meet with Márcia Fontes, owner of the “My Precious” store located inside the palace, where new marketing strategies were discussed to attract more people to the store, reflecting on the role of marketing in the valorization of historical spaces such as the Palácio da Bolsa.
