Innovation sprint for students in the 3rd year of the degree in Computer Science

On 28 March, within the scope of the Information Systems curricular unit of the 3rd year of the Computer Science Engineering degree, an "innovation sprint" was held under the theme "Business Model".

The main promoter of the initiative was Daiane Rose from Wakeup 4.0, a consortium constituted by INOV INESC (Institute of Systems Engineering and Computers Innovation) and AECOA (Business Association of Oliveira de Azeméis).

The aim of the "innovation sprint" is to encourage the development of entrepreneurial skills among students, promote new solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The initiative counted with the participation of young entrepreneurs, who had the opportunity to present their business ideas and work together with professionals from the information technology sector. The expectation is that these projects can become future start-ups, driving the economy and innovation in Industry 4.0.

Wakeup 4.0 is a consortium that acts to encourage technological innovation and support the creation of new companies in Industry 4.0. INOV INESC, in turn, is a systems and computer engineering institute dedicated to the research and development of advanced technologies. AECOA is a business association that seeks to foster the economic and social development of the Oliveira de Azeméis region.

The "innovation sprint" in Computer Engineering is another initiative that seeks to boost the creation of start-ups and foster innovation in Industry 4.0, a sector that is constantly evolving and offers many opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
