Banco de Portugal Study Visit
On December 13th, 2nd year CTeSP students in Digital Marketing, accompanied by Professor Eliana Rodrigues, participated in a study visit to Banco de Portugal within the scope of the Online Communication curricular unit. The visit took place between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm and featured two presentations. The first presentation had the theme of Online Security and covered several tips for increasing security on the internet. Essential precautions were discussed, such as creating strong, secure and unique passwords, as well as guidance on how to make online purchases safely, verifying the authenticity of websites and avoiding risks. Special attention was also paid to potential scams and scams, alerting students to the methods used and the importance of always being aware of warning signs when browsing the internet. The second presentation was dedicated to the topic of Euro Banknotes and Coins. Students had the opportunity to learn about the differences between contracting and counterfeiting coins and notes, as well as learning to identify the characteristics that distinguish genuine notes and coins. The presentation also included a practical exercise, where students were able to put what they learned into practice, being able to decode whether the notes and coins were genuine or counterfeit. This visit allowed students to acquire technical knowledge on the topics covered, applying them in the context of their academic career, with an emphasis on digital security and financial literacy.
