What is the ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is the European programme for education, training, youth and sport. It aims to enhance the personal and professional development of all citizens, by reinforcing the European identity, promoting sustainable growth, greater social cohesion and increasing people’s employability. This is the reference made to the same programme on the official page of the national agency Erasmus+, the entity responsible for managing the programme at national level.

In the specific case of Higher Education, the Erasmus+ programme aims to promote individual and group mobility for learning purposes, in Europe, but also outside the European continent. These mobilities are also intended to develop inter-institutional cooperation, teaching quality, inclusion and equity, as well as excellence, creativity and innovation at the level of organisations and policies in the field of education and training.

To achieve this objective, the intention is to promote the work of organisations within the framework of European or international partnerships with a wide range of public and private actors and to foster knowledge sharing and innovation in the areas of education, training, youth and sport.
