Holders of secondary-level vocational courses.

Who Can Apply

In accordance with Decree-Law no. 11/2020 of 2 April, ISPGAYA admits to the special contest applicants holding double certification courses at secondary level that fall within the areas of education and training (CNAEF) corresponding to the areas of the 1st cycle to which they apply set out in the list established by CNAES – National Commission for Access to Education.

The holders of the following educational and training offers of double secondary certification, conferring qualification level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework, are covered by the special contest:

  • Vocational courses;

  • Learning courses;

  • Education and training courses for young people;

  • Sectorial courses of the network of schools of Turismo de Portugal, IP;

  • European Union Member State courses, legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education, conferring dual certification, academic and vocational, and conferring qualification level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework;

  • Other non-Portuguese courses, legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education, conferring dual certification, academic and vocational.

How is the application evaluated?

The assessment of the application is subject to the following specific weightings of the assessment elements, and the assessment of the ability to attend must consider cumulatively:

  • A weighting of 50%, in the final grade of the course obtained by the student;

  • A weighting of 20%, in the grades obtained:

    • In the vocational aptitude exam, in the case of holders of vocational courses;

    • In the final aptitude exam, in the case of graduates of apprenticeship courses;

    • In the final assessment exam, in the case of holders of education and training courses for young people;

    • In the final assessment exams of the modules included in the curricular plans of the courses organized in accordance with Ordinance no. 57/2009, of 21 January, in its current wording, in the case of holders of those courses;

    • In the final assessment exams of competences in tourism of the courses held in accordance with the ordinance of the members of the Government responsible for the areas of tourism, education and vocational training, in the case of holders of courses of a sectorial scope of the network of schools of Turismo de Portugal, IP;

    • In the final assessment exam, in the case of holders of vocational training courses within the scope of the Training Program for the Insertion of Young People of the Autonomous Region of the Azores;

A weighting of 30%, in the grades of theoretical exams of assessment of knowledge and skills considered essential for entry and progression in the cycle of studies to which you are applying at ISPGAYA.

What is the average to be able to apply?

Access and entry under the special contest depends on the applicant obtaining grades equal to or greater than 95 points, on a scale from 0 to 200, in each of the assessment elements.

The application is submitted electronically through the ISPGAYA IT platform, for which the applicant must require their own credentials to access this platform.

Documentation

  • Documentation proving conclusion of the secondary education course;
  • Application (ISPGAYA model);
  • Copy of citizen card;

Ranking Criteria

The placement of applicants in the vacancies fixed for each course is done in descending order.

Whenever two or more applicants in a tie, compete for the last vacancy, the age tiebreaker criterion is applied, valuing the highest age.
